“Thank you so much for inviting our group on Friday. It was a wonderful opportunity to speak to some of the top experts in their field – quite literally! Will was incredibly patient with our group, for which Lynne and I  thank him. It was a real unique experience to be able to quiz Will about the life of an archaeologist and to have first-hand insight into a really interesting career.  Elspeth Dennison is our Member of Youth  Parliament she said “ today has made my childhood dreams of being an archaeologist  come true!” Elspeth went on to find a 1917 penny at the site, which really spurred the group on.

The exhibition that is inside the school hall gave real meaningful insight and connection to the dig itself, it both thrilled our group and moved them. We are all very grateful to the team for inviting us to take part, and hope that we can continue to encourage and involve young people with LDHP.”
